FINA/airwave World Cup Eindhoven 2017: the show must go on
After the World Cup contests in Moscow and Berlin, Eindhoven will organize the third of eight FINA/airwave World Cup 2017 tournaments. Friday 11th and Saturday 12th of August, world’s best swimmers will compete each other in the Netherlands.
No less than 26 Dutch swimmers…
As the Pieter van den Hoogenband swimming stadium will be the décor of the event, it will be a home race for several swimmers of the Dutch delegation. No less than 26 Dutch swimmers will join the tournament, 18 of them were part of the World Championships’ selection of Budapest. Amongst them, of course, Ranomi Kromowidjojo, Ferry Weertman and Femke Heemskerk. They already proved to be in great shape, but will face a strong international field this weekend. With Pieter van den Hoogenband himself as director of the tournament, several high-profile swimmers promised to travel to Eindhoven. Ranging from Olympic to World Champions. Among others, Hosszu, Pellegrini, Le Clos, Chalmers, Bronte Campbell, Belmonte, Sjöström and Cate Campbell will appear at the starting blocks!
A big show is expected, not only in the pool, but outside of it as well. After completely being sold-out, the tournament’s board even decided to build extra stands. No matter what, it’s going to be a great spectacle! We certainly look forward to the tournament and your support in our ‘home pool’!
